FCP User Groups and Digital filmmakers from Los Angeles, Boston, London, Ireland, Hungary, France and from around the world headed to Amsterdm, Netherlands for the Second Annual Amsterdam FCPUG SuperMeet on Sunday, 13 June 2009 at the Grand Hotel Krasnalpolsky in Amsterdam. This event was the largest gathering of FCP Users and Gurus ever seen in Europe. These podcasts are hosted by Macvideo.tv.

1. How to do a Grade in Just 10 minutes with Color 1.5 - Simon Walker.
Simon Walker is on a deadline... ten minutes to show colour grading techniques!
As a freelance Apple Certified Trainer, editor, designer and all round Mac Fan Boy, Simon has completed many and varied projects on time, on budget and on a deadline!
Here, Simon will present a micro colour grading workshop including tips and techniques whilst revealing how John Grisham, thriller author, has been hiding production workflow wisdom in his novels!

Jason Levine, Sr. Worldwide Evangelist for Adobe, is back on the SuperMeet stage to share the latest integration between Final Cut and Creative Suite 4 Production Premium. Learn how to take your FCP sequences into Premiere Pro CS4 and dynamically create complex, rich Blu-Ray discs in Encore CS4, building your menus natively in Photoshop CS4, and even creating motion menus and transitions in After Effects CS4...all of this, without rendering until the very end; truly integrating and sharing the love.


3. Blackmagic Design Presents "More Right Tools For the Job."
Space Digital's Simon Blackledge and Gary Kelly, join us once again with brand new tips on the importance of choosing 'the right tools for the job'. This presentation just might save you thousands of dollars. Space Digital have successfully combined technology and talent to become one of the UK's foremost facilities for visual effects production and more! Their immediately recognisable work for high profile television dramas, film and commercials is undertaken on a Mac platform with FCP at the centre of their workflow.


4. "Vandaag" - Nils Rensen - Show and Tell


Niles Rensen is a freelance editor based in Amsterdam who has edited a number of films, music videos and commercials. Nils will show us The Opposite's "Vandaag," a video he edited and composited entirely with Final Cut Pro.


5. JVC GY-HM 100/700 ProHD - Rick Young and Semir Nouri


In January of this year JVC announced the introduction of 2 new cameras: the GY-HM100 and GY-HM700. These professional cameras have been on the market for some time now - and have made serious in-roads into affordable HD acquisition. In this video piece Rick Young, a user of the technology gives his views on the JVC tapeless GY-HM100 and Semir Nouri, the European Product Manager from JVC shows off key features of the GY-HM700.


6. What You NEED to Know About FCP 7 - Michael Wohl
As part of the original development team for Final Cut Pro, Michael Wohl knows this application as well or better than anyone else on the planet. Michael highlights some of the key features, and hidden features of Final Cut Pro 7. While Michael is best known as being one of the original designers of Apple's Emmy award winning Final Cut Pro software, he is also an award-winning filmmaker. and has authored many books and training DVDs about FInal Cut Pro and other Apple apps.


7. Q&A/Feedback Interactive Discussion on the NEW Final Cut Studio. Michael Wohl, Jerry Hofmann, Jonathan Eric Tyrell, Erwan Le Cloirec
SuperMeet producers Dan Berube and Michael Horton decided to do something different for the IBC SuperMeet in September 2009. Hot off the announcement of Final Cut Studio 2 the floor was opened to questions from the audience. The result is a wide array of interesting questions which generated equally interesting answers. If ever an event shows the cohesion of the world video community, this is it. Featuring experts from the USA, UK, France and an audience from many different countries.
