So, you went to film school and are trying to figure out how it is supposed to be helping you today. Or, perhaps, you were too busy trying to claw your way up the film industry ladder to go to film school, and now you’re wondering what you missed out on.
The good news is that Norman Hollyn, Professor and Editing Track Head at the University of Southern California’s School of Cinematic Arts, and author of THE LEAN FORWARD MOMENT and THE FILM EDITING ROOM HANDBOOK, can give you a few of the tips and tricks that film school could have (or should have) given you. Instead of costing you three years and $100,000, how about thirty minutes and a ticket to NAB?
Learn about building crew relationships, analyzing a story and a scene, placing a camera, editing a scene and thinking about music and sound for your project whether that project is a feature film, a television program, a wedding or event video, or a corporate presentation.
Best of all, you won’t be tested at the end of the “class”!
