Blackmagic Design invites award-winning cinematographer John Brawley on stage to show off the new Blackmagic Cinema Camera and share his experiences in shooting with this revolutionary camera and his post workflow using the new DaVinci Resolve 9.
About JOHN BRAWLEY
John Brawley is an award-winning cinematographer, whose feature films include the Cairnes brother's comedy horror 100 BLOODY ACRES, which premiered at the Melbourne International Film Festival in August 2012, official Sundance selection THE PERFECT HOST starring David Hyde Pierce, and Joel Anderson?s debut cult feature, LAKE MUNGO. In addition to the ABC TV-commissioned comedy series LOWDOWN and TWENTYSOMETHING, John has also worked continuously with producers John Edwards & Imogen Banks on numerous premium TV drama series. Projects include three seasons of the award-winning OFFSPRING, the third series of Showtime’s critically acclaimed TANGLE and most recently the breakout hit PUBERTY BLUES directed by Glendyn Ivin and Emma Freeman. John is currently in pre-production on Screentime's UNDERBELLY SQUIZZY.

Light Iron CEO Michael Cioni will lead a discussion about how the changing media ecosystem has carved out a new identity for progressive filmmakers. Bringing examples from some of Hollywood's most advanced productions, Michael will discuss the latest evolutionary pattern of workflow and how fresh technology and fresh creativity have combined to create new opportunities for filmmakers.
About MICHAEL CIONI
Over the past decade, Michael Cioni’s passion for file-based acquisition talent and toolsets has given new shape to the digitally changing motion picture industry. In 2003, he co-founded and built his first post house, PlasterCITY Digital Post, into one of Hollywood’s preeminent desktop-based post production facilities. Now CEO of Light Iron, Michael has served as a Digital Intermediate Supervisor on over 200 feature films and provided 2D and 3D data-centric post production technical and advisory support on projects for major studios and independent films.
Michael believes strongly in empowering clients through education. He is a founding member and instructor at RED's official training program, REDucation, has instructed HDExpo/Createasphere’s Panasonic P2 Workshop and Color Camp 101 as well as numerous events and online classes for content creators. Michael sits on the Board of Directors of both the Hollywood Post Alliance and Filmmakers Alliance and he served as an adjunct faculty member for USC's Annenberg School of Journalism.

Technical Marketing Manager Ken La Rue and Smoke Product Evangelist Marc-André Ferguson will show off the all-in-one workflow of the all new Smoke. About MARC-ANDRE FERGUSON
Marc-André Ferguson is the Founder of the Final Cut Montreal User Group and is Product Evangelist for Smoke at Autodesk. Marc-André has been involved in the film and video industry since 1995 as a director, editor, trainer and consultant. Marc-André also founded Luminance, a specialized training and consulting services on Apple software and technologies, for the film and television industry. He was one of the original product designers on Smoke for Mac and he is now an active blogger on AREA, the Autodesk M&E digital community.
About KEN LA RUE
Ken La Rue is the Technical Marketing Manager for Smoke at Autodesk. Ken was an Art Director for a Chicago advertising company for 13 years before jumping into the video and motion graphics industry in 1998. Ken founded The Street Productions, Inc., which offered training services in video editing, compositing, 3D animation and graphic design. Following this Ken became a training specialist and application engineer for Autodesk Combustion, Flame, and Smoke. Ken also worked as a special consultant at companies such as Disney Animation Studio in Burbank and EA Games in Vancouver. His artist abilities are not only digital but also analogue; he also loves to paint and has created paintings and murals for commercial and residential clients in the Chicago area.

About AL MOONEY
Al Mooney, Premiere Pro Product Manager at Adobe, has extensive technical, sales and marketing experience in the media industry. As product manager for Adobe Premiere Pro software, Mooney is responsible for defining, delivering, and supporting the overall feature set and functionality. Earlier, Mooney was the UK senior business development manager for video and broadcast at Adobe, providing technical workflow consultation for top broadcast accounts in the U.K. In that role, he oversaw the redevelopment of Adobe’s video VAR channel, a network of expert resellers and service providers for the Media and Entertainment industry.
Mooney joined Adobe in 2009, after spending two years at Apple as the U.K. Pro Video business development manager. There he was responsible for the communication and go-to-market strategy of video solutions for the U.K. market, working with resellers and customers.
Before Apple, Mooney was European sales specialist at Digidesign, a division of Avid Technology. In this role, Mooney was responsible for the communication of high-end solutions into multiple territories, and managed technical communication between European specialists and engineers in the U.S. He also held earlier positions at Digidesign, including post-production product specialist, EMEA product specialist and marketing representative.
Mooney graduated with honors from the University of Surrey, Guildford, with a Bachelor of Music and Sound Recording (Tonmeister).

About ADAM GREEN
Adam Green has worked in post production and music industries since the mid 80's, and started as a recording engineer and mixer in Austin, Texas. He moved to Los Angeles to work as a product specialist for Digidesign Pro Tools, and later at Four Media Company where he worked as an editor and mixer on hundreds of television and film shows. He helped create the training program at Apple, and was the first master trainer for the newly minted Final Cut Pro worldwide certification, certifying thousands of professors and instructors. During his tenure, Adam held positions including Senior Manager of Apple's professional applications as well as Senior Manager in Apple's Worldwide Developer Relations program. He also worked as Chief Technology Officer for Oasis Imagery, a Hollywood post-production and digital intermediate facility specializing in 3D feature films and television. Adam currently serves as the Senior Director of Marketing for the post and professional segment at Avid.
About MARTIN TLASKAL
Martin Tlaskal is the lead developer on Baselight for Avid. Martin was one of the original Baselight developers when the product started its life as an internal grading tool at The Computer Film Company in London. Before FilmLight, Martin worked at Canon R&D in Sydney, Australia, where he undertook research into compositing algorithms and real-time computer graphics. Martin, along with other members of the Baselight team, was awarded a Sci-Tech Academy Award in 2010.
- The Latest and Greatest from Red Giant - Simon Walker
Red Giant have been making innovative and time-saving pre production and post production tools for filmmakers for over ten years. Simon Walker returns to the SuperMeet stage to demonstrate three of their exciting new releases Trapcode Mir, PluralEyes and Knoll Light Factory, the light effects tool developed by ILM Visual Effects Supervisor John Knoll.
Simon will also be showing Red Giant's latest short film ORDER UP, directed by Webby Award winner Seth Worley, which was made to showcase the new release of Knoll Light Factory.
About SIMON WALKER
Simon Walker (@SimonWalker) is an instructor for the International Colorist Academy (ICA), an Adobe Certified Instructor in Premiere Pro, an Apple Certified trainer for FCP X, an Adobe Certified Master Trainer for Production Premium CS6, and an Apple Certified Final Cut Studio Master Trainer.
Simon trains industry professionals in shooting, editing, motion graphics, visual effects, colour grading, audio sweetening, DVD and Blu-ray authoring, and video compression, and authors and runs multiple training courses including Visual Storytelling for Editors, Video Optimisation and Compression, and Shooting for the Web, and trains broadcast production staff at BBC, ITV, Turner, Bloomberg, Sony, and Hogarth Worldwide, as well as at numerous media agencies and TV production companies.

About WOUTEN VAN LUIJN
Wouter van Luijn graduated in 2008 at the Dutch Film Academy as a film editor. His graduation film ‘Gaandeweg’ won the Tuschinski award for best student film and since then he started his own company called Schnitt Schneiders.
From that point on he was responsible for a lot of music videos (including Carice van Houten, Go Back To The Zoo and a lot of Dutch Hip-Hop artists), commercials for DDB, TWBA and many more, drama-series and short films. In 2011 he made his first feature film called ‘Rabat’ which was pronounced as the best Dutch film of that year.
Currently he is working on several shorts, commercials and a new feature film that will be released in the summer of 2013.
As a pure storyteller this is just the beginning of one of the many stories to tell…
